NEET (UG) — Overview, Eligibility & Syllabus
NEET (UG) is India's single national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical and allied courses — MBBS, BDS, AYUSH (BAMS/BHMS and others), veterinary and most B.Sc nursing seats. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is accepted by almost every medical college in the country.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed, or be appearing in, Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects. A minimum qualifying percentage and a lower age limit apply; always confirm the exact relaxations and rules in the current official NTA information bulletin.
Syllabus overview
The syllabus is built entirely on the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 textbooks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). EntrancePrep's chapter-wise notes, formula sheets and previous-year questions map directly to this NCERT tree.
